They are Full of SH#%&T!

The other day I was waiting to get my passport photo taken at Walgreens.

Waiting patiently makes for good “thinking time” for me.

The photo booth is right next to the last aisle where the refrigerated products are.

During this time I couldn’t help but notice 6 refrigerators filled with soda and other sugary drinks.

Directly across the aisle, there was an entire row of chips, pretzels, cookies, donuts, and cake.

The adjacent aisle was all chocolate, candy, and other snacks.

The irony hit me, as I thought about all the people coming to the pharmacy to get meds for various conditions, illnesses, and diseases that may have been exacerbated or even caused by their poor diets.

I couldn’t stop thinking about this so when I got home I looked up Walgreens’ corporate mission statement and this is what I found:

Our Vision

To be America’s most-loved pharmacy-led health, well-being, and beauty company.

Our Purpose

Champion the health and well-being of every community in America.

Health? Well-being? Who are they kidding?

If their purpose was to “champion the health and well-being of every community in America” they wouldn’t be selling this poison.

I’m not picking on Walgreens, as all the big pharmacy chains have become big convenience stores and sell the same crap.

How about CVS?

CVS Caremark Corp. has rebranded the company CVS Health

and has unveiled a new tagline, “Health Is Everything.”

Rite Aid?

Our Vision

Customers confidently choose us first for their everyday health and wellness needs because we consistently understand and exceed their expectations.

Our Mission – Our plan to get there.

To improve the health and wellness of our communities through engaging experiences that provide our customers with the best products, services, and advice to meet their unique needs.

It makes me wonder if selling this garbage is a carefully thought-out corporate strategy by all of these “health” companies:

  1. Make money by encouraging the consumption of junk food.
  2. Make more money by selling meds to the same people that got sick off the junk.
  3. “Rinse-Repeat!”

The morals of the story.

Drug store chains are full of sh#%&t and are contributing to the poisoning of society.

Eat healthily, stay off the meds!

Spread the love!
