Throwback Thursday is a popular topic on social media.
We look back to the “old days” when things were usually quite different, not necessarily better or worse, but just different. Maybe you had more fun, more free time, or more energy.
You could eat whatever you wanted and didn’t gain weight.
But now things might be different for you, and now you “just look at a pizza,” and it goes right to your hips.
It’s become harder and harder to lose weight and get in shape.
You don’t feel as strong or as energetic as in the throwback days.
In the hundreds of consultations I do each year, prospects, most of them over 45, tell me things like:
- “I don’t have time, energy, or motivation to exercise.”
- “I know how to eat well, but I just don’t do it.”
- “I’m too embarrassed to go to a health club.”
- “I’m too old to get in shape, and everything hurts.”
Think back to the days when you were in the best shape of your life.
What was different?
Your eating habits?
Your exercise routine?
Your sleep?
Your motivation and desire?
Your self-esteem?
At Active Life Fitness, most of our members came to us with the same goals, challenges, and fears as you.
What they found was an exercise and nutrition program that met them where they were and didn’t treat them like they were 20 years younger.
They found empathetic expert coaches whose #1 goal is to HELP.
They started slowly and built their strength and stamina at their own pace.
They learned how to eat sensibly without fad diets or starving themselves.
They lost body fat and gained muscle with carefully progressed programming.
They found a supportive, encouraging, and friendly community of their peers.
You can’t turn back the clock to those throwback days, but you can be the best YOU for whatever stage of life you are at.
If this resonates with you and you would like to learn more about our program, click on the “contact us” link at the bottom of this page to set up a free consultation with one of our personal trainers.
